Data-driven journalism & Cyberculture Researcher

I've been studying about these subjects since 2003. At the beginning of this year, I published a research called "Jornalismo na era da Web de Dados Inteligentes" - "Journalism in the age of smart semantic web". In this paper, I analise how the journalist of the future should work in this age of "big data", using datamining technics, artificial intelligence, smart systems, data visualization, etc.

The other paper, dated of 2006, talk about Cyber Rebels, like hackers, crackers, cypherpunks, phreakers, and their action on the cyberspace and how the study of classical communication theory has to change in front of this new scenario.

I am a researcher member of the TECCRED (Communication, Technology, and Network Culture) of the Faculdade Cásper Líbero, São Paulo, Brazil, since august 2009.
